North Africa’s import of lumber down 23% in September

North Africa imported approximately 492,000 m³ of softwood lumber from leading exporters in Europe and North America in September (-23% compared to 2016). The import from Sweden was 168,000 m³ (-24%), from Finland 126,000 m³ (-23%) and from Russia 114,000 m³ (-27%). The import of lumber in Algeria is still very low in September, but was the highest since April.
