We are now the Swedish Forest Agency (press release)

Following a Parliament decision the National Board of Forestry and the ten Regional Forestry Boards have merged into a single forest authority – the Swedish Forest Agency. The decision came into effect 1 January 2006. ,,Our new e-mail address is firstname.lastname@skogsstyrelsen.se. The organisation has a wide geographic coverage with some 120 local offices countrywide enabling close contact with forest landowners, local administrations and other stakeholders. The reorganisation will bring about a strengthening of the district organisation.,,Our ambition is that anyone interested in forest issues will benefit from a more uniform and efficient agency in the future.
