Stor Enso to buy Forest land in South America

28 september 2005 Stora Enso has started to buy land in Brasil and Uruguay. The company is planning to establish plantations with Eucalyptus and Conifers. The plantations are meant to provide Stora Ensos pulp mills with wood.

According to Stora Enso the company will establish 100 000 hectars of plantations in each country. The cost for buying land, investements in nurseries and infrastructure is calculated to approximately 100 million dollars. ,,Source: press release
