For the whole year 2007, the prices for sawlogs rose by 17 % compared to 2006, while the prices for pulpwood increased by 27 %.
, The prices mostly increased in region Southern Sweden (21 percent for sawlogs respective 35 percent for pulpwood), which mostly can be explained by the supply of low prices of storm roundwood in region Southern Sweden in 2006.
, In comparison 2007 to 2004 (before storm Gudrun) the prices of sawlogs and pulpwood in region Southern Sweden increased by 4 percent. For the same period in region Northern Sweden the prices of sawlogs rose by 21 percent and for pulpwood the prices rose by 32 percent. In region Central Sweden the prices increased by 12 percent for both sawlogs and pulpwood during the same period. ,
